Mark Devonshire CEO/CIO
Mark joined Merrill Lynch in April 2002 whereupon he established the European operations of the Principal Credit Group (PCG) in London. He moved to Hong Kong in April 2006 to establish the Asian operations of the same group. Mark joined Merrill Lynch from Standard Bank where, most recently, he was the Chief Investment Officer of the Asset Management Business; a specialist in non-investment grade credit. Mark had been at Standard for in excess of 9 years and had established distressed debt, leverage finance and investment grade operations and portfolios over his tenure and had also held the position of Regional Chief Executive Officer of the Asian operations (1995-98). He has been actively engaged in global debt markets throughout his banking/investing career – roles at Drexel Burnham, West Merchant Bank and Bankers Trust pre-date Standard Bank. Mark has an Accounting and Finance degree from Trent Business School, Nottingham and an M.B.A. from Kingston Business School, London. He is also a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Mark Devonshire started and ran both the European and Asian business for Merrill’s original Principal Credit Group in 2002.
Both were significantly profitable from inception.

The Investment team are the senior investor group from the Merrill team in Asia and Europe and jointly have approximately 175 years of experience. The Management team have worked together for over 10 years
